Landscape Design
New Mexico Project
This Albuquerque, New Mexico project contains a slightly sunken prefab swim spa with a swim up bar and raised deck, new pavers, a modern overhead structure, an outdoor kitchen, a prefab fire pit from Prism Hardscapes, and HOA approved planting. My personal contribution was to lay out the property in 3D and take the lead on this project. I also created and compiled the construction documents including a hardscape plan, elevations, and a lighting plan. This design’s challenge was including all the features the home owner wanted (like the swim spa with the raised deck) in a smaller yard. Another part of the challenge was having to create this without ever having seen the real life property in person due to it’s location being in another state. When focusing on materials and plants, I referred to the guidelines for this HOA. These guidelines largely drove the color scheme of this project since they only allow tans and colors that blend into the natural landscape of the area. Construction documents are not shown here to protect the client's privacy. Created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
Rancho Santa Fe Project
This Rancho Santa Fe project featured a sizable pool and spa despite having a limited sized yard, a sunken fire pit, a personalized outdoor kitchen, a rebuilt fire place, and redecorated courtyard. The challenge this project faced was designing in a way that the project would be approved by Rancho Santa Fe’s Fire Department whom has strict guidelines. My personal contribution was to lay out the property into the 3D Program, take the lead on this project’s design, model the project, and client communication. This design was created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
Carlsbad Project
This Carlsbad project featured an outdoor living space, a standalone bar, and a sunken fire pit. Products shown in this design are three different Belgard porcelain pavers, a prefab fire pit from Prism Hardscape’s Elements collection, and decorative screens from Boarder Concepts. This home owner wished for a sizable and stylish outdoor living space that would also be easier to permit than some of their neighbors. We achieved this by keeping the square footage of the structure low while also maximizing the space. My personal contribution to this project includes working closely with lead designers, modeling the design in VIP 3D, and client interaction. Created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
San Diego Project
This San Diego project featured a Spanish -Modern style property with a resurfaced existing pool, new walls and planter beds, a covered outdoor retreat, outdoor shower, new retaining walls, a new pool slide, a gym area, an outdoor kitchen, and a junior’s batting cage. My personal contribution to this project includes working closely with lead designers, modeling it in VIP 3D, and client interaction. Created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
San Diego Project
This San Diego project featured a desert scape style with a built in spa - fire pit area combo, a large versatile hardscaped space the home owner plants to host a wedding on, and a bistro destination in the courtyard. Some of the products included in this design are decorative screens from Boarder Concepts and a prefab fire pit from Prism Hardscape’s Elements collection . My personal contribution to this project includes working together with a lead designer to design the project, modeling the project in VIP 3D, and client communication. Created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
Spring Valley Project
This Spring Valley project featured a raised deck around a swim spa, cascading rock fountain next to upgraded existing fire pit, a personalized outdoor kitchen, veggie garden, large grass areas for children and activities, and a relaxation point atop an existing concreate platform. My personal contribution to this project includes translating and adding to the lead designer's idea in VIP 3D by Structure Studios. I also created and compiled the bulk of the construction documents including a hardscape plan, elevations, a planting plan, a lighting plan, a drainage plan, and an irrigation plan. Construction documents are not shown here to protect the client's privacy. This design was created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
San Marcos Project
This San Marcos project featured a hacienda resort style backyard with an infinity edge pool 3' over the top of slope, a raised deck to give the resident more usable backyard space, a sunken fire pit, swim up bar, outdoor kitchen, and plenty of planter space. My personal contribution to this project includes translating and adding to the lead designer's idea in VIP 3D by Structure Studios. I also created and compiled the bulk of the construction documents including a hardscape plan, elevations, a planting plan, and a lighting plan. Construction documents are not shown here to protect the client's privacy. Created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.
Encinitas Project
This Encinitas project featured a curvy design to help integrate an existing free form pool. It has a pool side fire pit, a spacious outdoor kitchen, a safe enclosure for the client’s dogs, a path to their new ADU, and an attractive garden. My personal contribution to this project includes working closely with lead designers, modeling it in VIP 3D, and client interaction. This design was created under employment by Ocotillo Design Group.

Technical Design
Lamp- Punk 42
Lamp- Punk 42 is based off of a steam punk lamp of similar design. Team members: Erin Brandt and Michael Haecker. My team and I decided to change some of the parts from the original concept to push the design and idea of steam punk further. As a two man team, we split up the work with modeling and design. I was personally in charge of creating the technical drawings while Michael reviewed and checked them. This model and drawings were created using SolidWorks 2020.
Game Projects
Project Incursion for USC Games
Incursion is a First person shooter vs Real time Strategy Game. This game went to the 2020 USC Expo. I personally assisted with building the map, adjusting various textures, reworking the ground texture tiling to work for both RTS and FPS, building lighting, and creating some concept art. My time on this project was completely remote and completed within four months. The ground textures and flora were incorporated from the Epic games market place and edited through the engine's material editor.
Vehicle Modeling
Lamborghini Aventador
Made in Maya using Nurbs. This project was my first time using Nurbs to polygons in such a way. The most challenging part of this project was trying to get the curves to be true to an Aventador with no previous knowledge of vehicles.
Environments
The Camp
The camp was constructed using Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine 4. I started with a relatively simple sketch as a concept and developed it a little further in a digital painting before beginning the modeling stage. I wanted to try to figure out how to create the details of a car with textures, rather than using polygons to create the details as I had done in the past. I chose to do this project in the Unreal Engine 4 for the opportunity to learn more about the engine. I created this project while I was also working on the Incursion Project. The camp informed me how to better use the engine. The ground textures and flora were incorporated from the Epic games market place.
The Tilted Cap
Scene crafted in Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, and Unreal Engine 4. The Tilted Cap started as a fun concept to go along with other student's projects. I found it to be interesting trying to translate a brewery like scene into a small fantasy space. My inspiration came from a winery I was helping to put together at the time. As such, there are real life elements that had gone into this process from the tanks, to the fenced off drinking area, to the taps behind the bar. Once I finished modeling, texturing, and lighting the scene, I decided to try my hand at some VFX by making a simple firefly flickering effect. The ground textures, water, steam and flora were incorporated from the Epic games market place.
Star Wars The Old Republic Guild Ship Interior
Constructed in Maya, based off of the guild ships from the game Star Wars The Old Republic. The idea behind this project was to create an indoor environment without the use of textures. Every detail in this scene was modeled and is as close to in game details that I could manage.
Star Wars The Old Republic Jedi Holoroom
Room Constructed in Maya, based off of the guild ships from the game Star Wars The Old Republic. The idea behind this project was to create an indoor environment without the use of textures. Every detail in this scene was modeled and is as close to in game details that I could manage. Other smaller details were earlier projects placed into the scene including, a two bladed weapon, a sniper rifle from Mass Effect, and a plane.
